Warsaw National Stadium football stadium under construction in Warsaw, Poland, the former stadium site Dziesięciolecia Stadium.

The new stadium will have seating capacity of 58,145. Its construction began in 2008 and completed in June 2011. National Stadium will host the opening match (group match), the remaining two group matches, quarter-final a, and the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2012 co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine.

The National Stadium will not be a new home or Legia Warszawa Polonia Warszawa football club. However, it is expected that the Legia and Polonia can choose to use the National Stadium for their game's most prestigious.

Along with the stadium plans include building a general-purpose indoor sports arena with places for 20,000 spectators, an Olympic-size swimming pool for 4,000 spectators, a water park, hotel, conference center, as well as catering facilities and services. Construction will be followed by a complete overhaul of the Warsaw Stadium nearby railway station and the opening of the subway station and the second segment of the Metro line linking Warsaw with the downtown area. The reasons are owned by national governments, so that investment will be financed by it, than the city of Warsaw.

Construction work starts on site in 2008. The first activity is to destroy the long standing Dziesięciolecia Stadium.

Foundation (foundation stone) and a defined time capsule during a ceremony held on October 7, 2009. Time capsule containing the flag of Poland, the EU and Warsaw, the newspaper the day, coins, banknotes, and other artifacts.

On December 1, 2009 two workers were in a working platform lifted by crane to a height of 18 meters (59 feet) above the ground. Suspension broke causing the platform to fall killing one worker instantly, and the second died in hospital several hours later.

Another fatal accident that occurred on May 9, 2011. A worker fell from the roof. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of this accident.

Construction work is scheduled for completion in mid 2011.
