Construction work began on 20 November 2008 and be completed in July 2011 according to city officials. The stadium is expected to host three group-stage matches during the Euro 2012 tournament which was given to Poland and Ukraine in April 2007. According to an official project, the stadium will have all-seated capacity of 33,500 estimates.

End of the stadium name yet to be announced. Stadium Lemberg, Lviv name in Germany, only one of the names considered. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy city states that there is still a year to find a name for the stadium. According to local internet media news accented zaxid.net mayor out of his head he would not reveal the ethical propositions that are scheduled to be announced at the auction in which the name of the stadium will be sold. He also noted the name that will be discussed along with local oblast administration and national institutions in preparations for Euro-2012.
Stadium capacity is anticipated to be 33,400 spectators, including 450 VIP sittings as well. All seats will be closed, while part of the roof assembly will be transparent to provide enough sunlight for grass. Stadium parking will be located under the arena which will consist of three levels. Will include VIP parking for 1593 spaces. Parking for tele-and radio-media agency will include (6,000 square meters (65,000 sq ft)). There will also be parking for struggling physically and special lift will give way to a chair that was also designed and provided to familiarize personnel necessary.
