Olimpiysky National Sports Complex (NSC), UEFA Euro 2012

The Olympic Sports Complex or the National Olympic Stadium, Republican Stadium or Central Stadium, is a multi-use sports facility in Kiev, Ukraine, located on the slopes of the central city of Cherepanov Hill, Raion Pechersk. The stadium is where the main sports of Ukraine and one of the largest in the world. The complex also features several other sports facilities and is designed to host the Olympics. The stadium is expected to host the Euro 2012 finals.

On 18 April 2007, Poland and Ukraine chosen to co-host the Euro 2012 final of the UEFA European Football Championship 2012, is set to host the Olympic final. Reconstruction of the stadium involving the demolition and rebuilding of lower tier, an entirely new west stand with two-level press box (or luxury boxes) between two levels, the addition of 13-story high-rise buildings to the west, and the addition of a new roof that covers the entire seating area. The capacity of the stadium after the reconstruction will be 69 004.

On December 1, 2008, reconstruction began when the winner was announced countless arrested. This is expected to be completed in 2011.
