UEFA has announced today an agreement with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is the right option for UEFA EURO 2012™ and the UEFA Under-21 Championship 2011.
The agreement covers the host countries of UEFA EURO 2012™, Poland and Ukraine hosting the 2011 European Championship U-21 Denmark. Other areas included in the agreement are the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Israel, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and, for the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 only the United Kingdom.
UEFA will award the public service radio in the areas of non-exclusive right to broadcast all games on the radio fans can enjoy the extensive coverage of both contests.
Commenting on the agreement, UEFA said:
"After a very positive experience with the EBU at the UEFA EURO 2008™, we are very pleased to be able to extend our partnership with UEFA EURO 2012™ and the 2011 UEFA Under-21 Championship. We look forward to working with the EBU and His radio experience to offer fans across the radio coverage throughout Europe in both competitions."
